Hi!
I'm just new in this radiant floor heating discussion with about 2 hrs of research under my belt. I was told that putting wood over radiant heated floors may be a lesson in learning the hard way due to expansion/contraction problems. We are building a timber frame home and want the aesthetic appeal of real wood floors. Does anyone have any experience here? Secondly, we are not big on airconditioning, accept for the 2-3 weeks of hot, humid weather we get here in Northern Ontario. However, I'm sure if don't install it now we'll regret it if only when we go to sell our home. Is there a standard accomodation for this that compliments the hydronic heating system or do I just have to install two completely separate systems? Thanks, Karl p.s. I'm enjoying some of the feisty ralleys on this forum i.e. I don't know what your smoking there Phillip/the only thing smoking will be your furnace. ya gotta laugh! |
